IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Due to scheduling conflicts, we are suspending our Wednesday Drop-In Improv classes indefinitely.  Again...there will be no Wednesday Drop-In Improv Classes until further notice.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Basic Improv Course (Level 100)

Mondays (7 weeks), February 10th - March 23rd
[Adult class, 18 and over]

Would you like to gain more confidence, increase your memory, become a better listener, and think faster?  Maybe you're someone who’s looking to improve your personal and professional communication.  Are you an actor who’d like to sharpen and add greater depth to your acting skills?  Or, perhaps you just want to learn something new and have fun.  Then, this class is for you! This course covers the fundamentals of improv.  Topics will include: Agreement (“Yes, and...”), Active Listening, Conflict Resolution, Creating Environments (object work), Character Development, Basic Scene Structure, and much more.

These classes are a fun and relaxed way to develop rewarding new skills.  Our approach to teaching Improv is different. While some people want to eventually perform Improv…we recognize that some do not (our Student Performance is optional, not mandatory.)  So, we teach Improv principals with both stage applications…and “real world” aspects.  People discover that learning improv provides them with powerful tools that they find useful (and usable) in every aspect of their life.

This seven week course will run Mondays, starting February 10th. Class time is 6:30pm to 8:30pm.  Spaces are limited and pre-registration is required.  Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis.  Tuition for the seven week course is $165. However, we’re offering an Early Registration Discount! If payment is received (in full) by Friday, January 31st, the registration fee for this course is only $130 (you save $35!)  All payments must be received, by the final deadline, in order to be considered registered for this course.  Final deadline for registration is Friday, February 7th.

Payment can be made by check or money order—payable to: “CNY School for the Performing Arts.”  We are not responsible for cash payments that are lost or stolen.  Please include your complete contact information (name, address, phone number, email, etc) along with your payment.  Mail registrations to:
