To all of our actors, students, patrons, friends, and “improv family”:
These are obviously difficult times, right now. And, likely to become more difficult in the weeks to come. We are all in the midst of dealing with a global heath crisis. So…difficult decisions need to be made. We would love to be able to continue to provide you all with a much-needed outlet for anxiety reducing fun. The desire to continue “before things get bad,” is very tempting. But, the information (that we can trust) seems to indicate that NOW is when we need to take all these precautions, in order to help reduce the severity of that “bad.” Therefore, Salt City Improv is immediately…and indefinitely…suspending all shows, classes, and team practices.
We are currently exploring other options: such as live streaming "shows" and conducting online group "meetings" for classes and practices. We know nothing can replace the intimacy and immediacy of the live, in-person interactions for improv. But, we'll be doing our best to remain connected, however we can, with each other and our audiences.
As soon as it becomes feasible to safely proceed…and normalcy beings to return…we’ll be resuming our live shows and classes. Until then, we hope everyone makes good choices and remains at home as much as they can. Be kind to each other. Stay safe and healthy.
