Basic Improv Comedy Class (Level 100)
Current Session Is Under Way...Next Session Begins In Late May

Tuesdays (six weeks), March 31st - May 5th. [Adult class, 18 and over]

Instructor: Jeff Kinsler

If you’re someone who would like to improve their personal and professional communication skills—or, if you’re an aspiring actor wanting to expand your existing talents...or, if you just want to learn something new and have fun doing it...then this class is for you!  This course covers the fundamentals of improv.  Topics will include: Agreement (“Yes, and—”), Conflict Resolution, Creating Environments (object work), Character Development, Basic Scene Structure, and much more.  These classes are a fun and relaxed way to develop rewarding new skills.  People discover that learning improv provides them with powerful tools that they find useful (and usable) in every aspect of their life.

This six week course will run Tuesdays, starting March 31st.  Class time is 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Spaces are limited and pre-registration is required.  Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis. Tuition for the six week course is $150.   Payment must be received (by the deadline) in order to be considered registered for this course. Final deadline for registration is Friday, March 27th.

Payment can be made by check or money order—payable to: Salt City Improv Theatre. We are not responsible for cash payments that are lost or stolen. Please include your complete contact information (name, address, phone number, email, etc) along with your payment. Mail registrations to:

(In person registration can be made by appointment. Credit card payments are accepted in person and by phone. 315-410-1962)

"Drop-in" Improv Classes.

Every Wednesday (unless otherwise noted) we have a "drop-in" type improv class.  Class time is 6:00pm until 7:45pm.  Each class is only $20 ($15 for students w/ID.)  Payment is due at the beginning of each class (cash only.)  Please arrive 10 minutes before class begins, to register.

This is a low cost, no-commitment way to learn something new...or, sharpen your existing improv skills.  These are considered "all-level" classes; so, a basic working knowledge of the fundamentals of improv is helpful, but not necessary.

If a class is postponed or canceled, notice will be posted here and on our voice-mail (410-1962.)

No pre-registration is necessary for this class.  Just show up...ready to have fun!

[Adult class: 18 and over.  Under 18 will need special permission to attend these classes.]
