Pork Pie Hat
Our "Sports" Show:
Forget about religion and politics. If you really want to start a bloodbath, put a Yankee fan and a Red Sox fan in a room, and ask them which team is better. But, it’s not just baseball...every sport has its insane fandom. Soccer hooligans are known to riot when their team loses (or, when they win. Not sure it matters.) College basketball fans have taken to looting and burning cars following losses (“March Madness,” indeed!) And, football fans practically treat their teams like deities. Since “Fan” actually comes from the word fanatic, a comparison to religious zealots isn’t too far off the mark. If you think about it, a stadium is basically just a big place of worship...with ridiculously overpriced beer.
So: root, root, root for the Home Team, Pork Pie Hat, as they dominate the field with hilarious improv comedy (short-form improv, in the style of the hit TV show, “Whose Line Is It, Anyway.”)
Saturday, April 18th.
Show starts at 8:00pm (doors open at 7:30pm.)
Tickets: $7 (general admission.)
